Performs intermediate administrative support work professionally greeting and directing the flow of client inquiries as needed, assisting human services staff in their daily work, processing incoming and outgoing documents utilizing data management systems, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Office Support Supervisor.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Directly assists the public through face to face or telephone contact; providing authorized information about cases and forwarding inquiries to the appropriate staff person when not authorized.
• Performs standard clerical assistance duties such as maintaining calendars; filing; printing items, processing EBT cards and maintaining related inventory; accepting payments and issuing receipts; processing incoming and posting outgoing mail.

Assistant Director of Community Corrections

Under the general guidance of the Community Corrections Director, the Assistant Community Corrections Director is responsible to manage corrections activities; supervising community corrections staff; planning and implementing various corrections programs; and initiating, developing, interpreting, and revising policies and procedures. This position serves as an assistant to the Director in the management and administration of all policies for Steele County Community Corrections. This includes assisting in the development of policy/procedure, performance management and quality assurance techniques for the department. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, skillful communications, project management, initiative, and people skills.

County Attorney

- Information: The Steele County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications from individuals interested in a temporary appointment to the position of County Attorney. The appointment would go through January 5th, 2027. The four-year term beginning January 2027 will be filled by election in November 2026.
The County Attorney serves as the chief prosecutor and litigator of criminal proceedings within County; advisor to the Grand Jury; and counsel to the Steele County Board and department heads concerning legal issues and concerns; and overall responsibility for the actions, functions and personnel of the County Attorney’s Office.
