Watercraft Inspector Level 1

  • Information: Inspect watercraft for Aquatic Invasive Species. Inform and educate the public on the threats of ecologically harmful Aquatic Invasive Species to the lakes and rivers in Chisago County. Provide citizens with training and education on how to prevent Aquatic Invasive Species transport. Multiple positions available. The Watercraft Inspector Level 1 is expected to work weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays), evenings and some holidays between Minnesota Fishing Opener through the third week of October. Inspector will be responsible for work schedule upon supervisor approval. Personal transportation is required. Scheduling can be flexible to work around adverse weather conditions. Seasonal temporary positions available: Part Time: 20 hours per week minimum, maximum of 40 hours per week Full Time: 40 hours per week minimum, maximum of 40 hours per week.   • Information: Inspect watercraft for Aquatic Invasive Species. Assist watercraft users with decontamination of their watercraft. Inform and educate the public on the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to the lakes and rivers in Chisago County. Provide citizens with training and education on how to prevent Aquatic Invasive Species transport. Graduation from high school or equivalent; 18 years of age or older. Currently pursuing, or completed, a college degree program in areas such as Biology, Natural Resources, Fisheries & Wildlife, Law Enforcement, Communications, Recreation Resource Management, Recreation, Park & Leisure, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Sociology, Sociology of Law, Criminology & Deviance, or Urban & Community Forestry. One year experience as a watercraft inspector. Valid Driver’s License. Computer/word processing skills.

Seasonal Park Ranger

Opens and monitors restrooms and park shelters. General maintenance of the park, beach areas and other duties assigned.
