Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator: Risk Management position is responsible for and serves as the County’s Human Resources Coordinator: Risk Management. Tasks include but are not limited to safety and worker compensation programs, maintaining safety training/education in such areas as ergonomics, safe driving, AWAIR, violence in the workplace, blood-borne pathogens, emergency drills, and emergency plans, etc. Works with the Human Resources Director to lead Safety meetings. Handles the preparation and maintenance of OSHA logs, reporting and coordination of workers' compensation claims, HR-related training, and assists in HR-related functions as needed throughout the County.
Manages projects as assigned that contribute to the general improvement of employee safety and other related work of similar complexity and difficulty. Ensures program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
