MnCCC Spotlight: Matt Troska

MnCCC welcomes our newest Board member, Matt Troska! Matt is the IT Director at McLeod County and has been an active member of MnCCC for years. He began his role on the MnCCC Board in January 2026. Read on to learn more about Matt!

How did you get into your current role at McLeod County?

I started working at McLeod County right out of college 24 years ago as an IT Technician, moved into Network/System Administration, then was promoted to IT Manager/Director about 5 years ago.

Where did you grow up? What was your first job?

I grew up in Glencoe, MN. My first job was working at Bergmann's Country Interiors delivering floor covering to job sites and customers.

What made you want to get involved with MnCCC?

I was introduced to MnCCC early in my career at McLeod County and have been involved with it in some capacity since.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to become more involved with MnCCC?

Start by participating in your User Group meetings. These are great places to get to know your peers at other counties, to help each other, and to share ideas.

What is a non-work skill you'd love to master? What is something unique most people may not know about you?

I enjoy building things and making an occasional woodworking project.

What's on your bucket list?

Visit all National Parks, Monuments, Historic Parks/Places, etc.; only about 370 to go out of over 400!
