MnCCC Spotlight

Mary Kaye Wahl Spotlight

What was your first job?

First job was lifeguarding- started when I was just old enough to. To this day I catch myself surveying the water when I am at a pool or lake.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

Since graduating from college, I have worked in government and still wouldn’t change that path for anything. I have been married for 9 years and have two littles- boy and girl (3.5 and almost 2 years old).  We live in Savage and have a small farm in the Foley area (little bit city, little bit country)

What interests you about MnCCC?

The collaboration it brings - not just on software solutions, but process- how to do business.  I have met great counterparts and colleagues throughout my involvement with MCCC that have been a wealth of knowledge and my go-to peeps to bounce concepts and process improvements off of.

What is your role with Carver county?

Assistant Finance Director- manage the Finance Office

What is something on your bucket list?

Oh goodness… I guess what isn’t on my bucket list… maybe because I haven’t been able to go anywhere right now, it is taking a long vacation and going on a cruise in the Mediterranean… when I was abroad, in college, one of my biggest regrets was not going to Greece.
