Gratitude in the Spotlight: Giving Thanks, MnCCC Style

In honor of the Thanksgiving season, MnCCC is highlighting a few Board members to express our gratitude for their contributions to our organization. This edition of Gratitude in the Spotlight features Kathy Jenson, Roseau County Property Tax Administrator, who currently serves as Chair of the MnCCC Board. Kathy is a long-time member and supporter of MnCCC, and has been on the MnCCC Board since 2021. Kathy's efforts as an MnCCC Board and User Group member are recognized below.

How did you get into your current role at Roseau County?

I was working for the local Title Company and spent a lot of time at the courthouse checking taxes, verifying legal descriptions and land ownership, therefore I knew a few of the employees, making the decision to apply easy.

Where did you grow up? What was your first job?

I grew up in Pine River, Minnesota. My first job was at McQuire's Resort!

What made you want to get involved with MnCCC?

I wanted to make a difference and give voice to our far-north, small county.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to become more involved with MnCCC?

The knowledge and friendship you gain with your peers greatly outweighs any excuse you can come up with to not be involved!

What is a non-work skill you'd love to master, and what is something unique most people may not know about you?

I'd like to master playing the drums, and I love doing puzzles!

What's on your bucket list?

Several items, from visiting New York City to riding a ferry boat to flying in a hot air balloon.

Thank you, Kathy, for sharing some fun facts about you, and for an encouraging message to those looking to get involved. We have enjoyed having you on the Board and appreciate your leadership!
